Katherine is an experienced technical program manager and policy researcher with expertise in data science, computational social science methods, and education and social policy analysis. She is currently is a Senior Technical Program Manager at Microsoft and is also completing a PhD at the University of Washington, Seattle. Her research interests are broadly in the politics of education reform and the racial dimensions of education and social policymaking. Current projects include work investigating the intersection between public housing and public education, as well as the active development of an open source Python tool for state legislature data.
